The Binter System

Since 1989 flying across the skies of the Canary Islands, Binter has gone from being a subsidiary airline of the Iberia Group to a group of many companies in order to offer a complete service to its customers and provide the highest possible quality in each specific branch of the aerial transport sector. All these companies make up the Binter System (MRO, operators, logistics, handling, etc.). One of these is the maintenance centre 145, Binter Technic, which led to the creation of the design organization.

History

Binter Technic and the design organisation

Given the need to make design changes to the Binter fleet (mainly composed of ATR 72), Binter Technic received the approval from the Spanish CAA, including a procedure for that purpose in its MOE. Under this point Binter Technic developed multiple modifications for more than 15 years. With the advent of EASA Part 21 regulation, Binter Technic abandoned the development of design changes based on the procedure it had as a 145 centre to implement system governed by Part 21 in 2011.
As design organisation (DOA 21J.457), it took advantage of the extensive experience in design changes by Binter Technic to develop the same tasks that were being developed as 145 centre. That is, minor changes related to cabin interiors and structures for large aircraft such as the ATR 42/72.

History

The birth of ADM Tech

In 2016, due to the rapid growth of the design organization and the approval of the centre as production organization (POA ES.21G.023) in 2015, the decision was made to segregate the area covered by design, production and R&D to create a new company called AeroDesign and Manufacturing Technologies S.L. or ADM Tech. The activity of the organization consists in developing minor design changes to cabin interiors and structures for large aircrafts, the manufacturing of parts and components, the development of research and development projects and performing non-destructive tests.
